Gaza

12/08/2025

Oh, God filled with compassion, whose loving presence ever surrounds us, bring perfect repose to those who have been killed in Gaza, as they worked, as they slept, as they sat down to share meals together, fleeing from the overpowering might of rockets and bombs.

Bless their souls with the fulness of Your love and grace. Source of all compassion, protect those who now suffer the indignation of hunger and thirst in a world of plenty. Gather them under the softness of your wings, show them Your love.

You promised that no one is forgotten in the sight of Your Father, that all are welcome at Your side,
that each and every one of our lives is a story of sacred worth and meaning that can never be lost.

We rededicate ourselves to You. Turn grief and anger into patience and love. Fill us with strength and will and purpose – inspire us to stand as one in loving and humble prayer against all injustice.

Source of all compassion, extend your shelter across the land that all who live between the river and the sea may enjoy the blessings of equity, of justice and of peace.
Amen.
