Prayer for Israel and Palestine

God, hear our prayers for peace and love between neighbours.

We pray that this catastrophe end now,
God, may the injured and distressed know your healing presence.

May all world leaders follow the paths of justice, mercy and peace.
We pray for recognition of the dignity and value of life.

May the clamour of violence cease and swords be turned into ploughshares.
O God of all, of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Isaac, and Ishmael:

Amidst the suffering of your people our voices cry for the grace of peace.

Comfort those who grieve, console and heal the injured,

Be close to those in fear, and with Your mighty hand,

Restrain those who perpetrate violence.

Send us your wisdom in all that we say and do,

That our voice may always seek justice, peace and security for all.

God, in your name we trust,
